Hazy calm

Australia on a hot summer's eve with a touch of smoke haze and the calmness of grazing sheep. I gave this painting its title because above all the emotions flying around the bush fires I was wishing for calm — hoping that people would try to calmly work together to get through these challenging times and steer away from the emotive, conflict-driven media. This is another painting in my series on the Kelly country where I'm exploring loading the brush with multiple colours rather than pre-mixing on the palette. This painting is truely one to be viewed both closely and from a distance.

36 x 48 inches.

Oil on canvas. Stretched over a gallery quality support.

This painting has a beautiful floating timber frame.

It is available to purchase off the support, posted to you in a sturdy pvc tube for free.
